OMG I love your tattoo of the octopus. I have been obsessed with them for a decade. Fun fact: Octopuses do not have tentacles (but squids do), they have limbs (can call them legs or arms)! And that dream is incredible. Your animal guides love you :) So do we.
I’m 53 and I long for the simplicity of the 70’s - 90’s. Even though I’m addicted just like the majority of us these days, I despise what social media has done to our society. I dream of living off the grid but my responsibilities don’t allow me to do such a thing, unfortunately.
Love you, your authenticity and content, Kevin. I will try substack out now.
Been following since you went viral during Covid. I was also in a super fundamentalist church from birth until I left at age 37 in 2009. I can relate so much to all of your stories.
Analog / Not Digital 🤣 Killed me, can you imagine not knowing what analog is? It’s beautiful. And I’ve thought of us all having analog weekends, let’s all do that and kick it back once a month 🌟
Hey Kevin, now that you are on Substack I am happily reconnecting. All the best writers and creators are here and apparently it's not part of any recently revealed oligarchs' portfolio. Your tattoos are brilliant as is their origin story. I'll try to make it to your next live session.
meantime stay golden Pony Boy your friend from the other end Gail
Kevin, I'm back. I just need to add that despite the myriad ways that social media is screwing us up there's a flipside for the lonely and disconnected. It's also keeping me from the total isolation and loneliness that came before. I can interact with friends family and strangers every day. Before social media I was disappearing up my own jaxy feeling uncared for with nowhere to flex my intellectual muscle or share my deepest beliefs and feelings. Look at our connection for example. Before I spotted and responded to your hilarious reels on effbook and look at me now typing away a message to you over there in tghe USA, now both a stranger and a friend. Love Gail
I fully agree. This past year I opened a community pottery studio so people had a place to create and connect. I was advised by business owners and experts to market on facebook and social media. Yet I have found that less than 2% of my customers found me through social media. The other 98+% saw the sign outside.

Hi Kevin. Keep using Substack. I’m trying so hard to stay off the others.
Same!

My cats generally don't like to be picked up either. But they will climb all over me to find the best spot to snuggle in any time I sit down.

Ok. Your notes about TikTok are a thing…but…your TikTok ads are SPECTACULAR 🤩 I don’t see that kind of creativity on anything other than TikTok.
