Such a mess - ALL THE THINGS - I am overwhelmed with all the good efforts of people like you who are trying to reach us - your audiences - who are seeking and desperately so, hope and love in an ugly reality! I appreciate you, Kevin, and have been really touched by your very good "work. " I'm a pastor fighting on the frontlines and in the ditches for LGBTQIA affirmation and inclusion in church and society and I can barely keep my head above water with all the work and the personal growth necessary for serving others and leading in this however I can. What you bring to my table is meaningful and what you bring to our society is essential! You're among my favorite humans on the planet. I trust you. Like..... trust you. That's everything, <3
Thanks! I'm sorry you got had by Substack...I have gone back and forth a bit with them. When they first came out it was OK and then it felt like I was in a race to get subscribers and so much pressure to put in these buttons in the middle of something to ask for subscribers. So I left and deleted it all. Then about a year later everyone I follwed on FB started migrating here so I gave it another try. I liked some of the new features but now I am feeling overwhelmed by it again.
I do wake up to many Substack notifications now, but they are quality posts so I don’t mind, although I am happy for you to broaden your audience any which way you can!
Honestly, between the start of summer and *every online content creator I follow* getting Substack all within about 10 days of one another, I found the pace of posts and comments hard to keep up with. In fact, I MEANT to post this on your "What's up with Substack" post from the other day and didn't get to it. Things are just a lot lately. I'll read your emails wherever they come from!
It's also that substack emails us to sign up for other things which just completely obscures the things we actually asked for. Much like social media they are providing growth over you or us.
Thanks for taking care of us. 💖
Experimentation, trial and error etc etc.
You tried it, and it didn’t work. It’s just a bummer it took so much time to migrate to and back from the platform!
I'll follow you wherever you go.
Appreciate your integrity! JFYI even the 6 digit verification codes for substack look like they are coming from you :/

That’s too bad, sorry that happened!! We’re still with you!!
I’m so sorry, what a pain. I’m becoming a bit disillusioned with Substack as well.
